Independent Living
In addition to care services, one of the main reasons individuals choose to live in a residential care home is for their personal safety. At Roseglen we provide for your personal safety as follows:
Fire and Facility Safety: State of the art fire safety systems and practices are in line with the Ontario Fire Code. Smoke detectors are provided in resident rooms, common areas and work or storage rooms as required. A Range Guard Safety System is installed in the kitchen. The facility is fully sprinklered. The fire alarm system is a two-stage fire alarm system, where the FIRST STAGE sounds and intermittent "Alert" tone, while the SECOND STAGE sounds a "general EVACUATION alarm". Fire drills are conducted and your participation in them is required. Roseglen has a large back-up generator that would maintain the facility with all essential services in the event of a power interruption.
Personal Safety: Each room is equipped with an emergency button on the telephone. When activated a call is placed to the portable phone which is carried by the attendant.
At Roseglen the satisfaction of our residents and their families is extremely important to us. If you have any concerns, complaints, or praise please direct your written or verbal comments directly to our Manager.
